Frequently Asked Questions

What is Botox?

Botox is a freeze dried purified protein that works to relax muscles by temporarily blocking a message that is sent from your brain to your muscle that would cause the muscle to contract and cause a wrinkle when not blocked.

How long do treatments take?

Treatments take about 15-20 minutes for returning clients and 30 minutes for new clients including set up. The actual time you’ll need to sit for injections is only 5-10 minutes. Many clients carry on with their work while we prepare, making the process as efficient as possible.

Can I book a group service?

Yes. Travel fees of groups of 3 or more will be waived, with the exception of groups requiring ferry travel. To comply with standards of our licensing college, absolutely no alcohol or illicit drugs can be present during individual or group treatments. This ensures a safe and professional environment, adhering to the highest standards or care.

What is the downtime after treatment?

You should be able to get back to your day as typical after your treatment. I would recommend avoiding activities that cause facial flushing for 1-2 days after your treatment such as saunas, intense exercise or alcohol and avoid lying down for about 3 hours after your treatment.

Is there any initial consultation required?

Yes. All new clients will have a 15 minute consultation prior to starting treatment. The purpose of this screen is for us to understand your goals of treatment as well as to review the consent and ensure you have time to ask questions prior to your first treatment. There is a $75.00 screening fee which is waived for those who do go onto have treatment.

What type of Botox do you use?

We use Dysport as our primary neuromodulator. We can accommodate most other neuromodulators if a client has another preference at a slightly higher cost per unit

How long do treatments last?

On average Botox lasts for approximately 3-4 months and therefore it’s common to have this treatment done every 3-4 months.
