about me
Dr. Erin Rurak, ND
Naturopathic Doctor and Practitioner
Dr. Rurak has been practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor for over a decade. She received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology graduating from the University of British Columbia. This foundation, paired with two years of research experience in the endocrinology unit at BC Children's Hospital, where she investigated medications and lifestyle factors linked to childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes, ignited her passion for preventative and integrative medicine. After completing her research at BC Children’s Hospital, Dr. Rurak attended the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine graduating in 2014. She then worked alongside Dr. Karen & Gurdev Parmars who served as her mentors for many years which ultimately led to a focus in cancer care and menopause.
Dr. Rurak is a certified clinician through the Menopause Society (MSCP) and has earned a prestigious fellowship through the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO). These designations place her at the forefront of integrative approaches to menopause and cancer care.
Her dedication to advancing the field of Naturopathic Medicine extends beyond her clinical practice. Dr. Rurak is an active speaker at medical conferences and mentors students and fellow practitioners in the areas of hormone health and oncology. As the founder of Full Circle Integrative Health, she is now working towards creating a hub of excellence in integrative medicine, where patients can benefit from a holistic approach to care, where aspiring medical professionals can learn and grow in their practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Rurak spends her time with her two children and husband. Anyone that knows Dr. Rurak, knows she loves all 4 legged pets, especially horses and dogs with a very soft spot for long haired miniature dachshunds!
